If you believe that your copyrighted work is being used on a website hosted by ZEAC without authorization, you can request its removal by following the procedure outlined below. ZEAC will review your request and, if it meets the necessary criteria, will take down the allegedly infringing content.
Once content is removed, the person who posted it will have the opportunity to submit a counter-notification. If the counter-notification is complete, ZEAC may restore the content unless legal action is taken.
Step 1: Submit a Takedown Request
To submit a takedown request, ensure that:
- Your Work is on a ZEAC-hosted Site: Verify that the work is hosted on a ZEAC website, that it is indeed your work (which may be verified by metadata or uniqueness), and that ZEAC is the entity running the website. Confirm that fair use exceptions do not apply, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized representative.
- Send Your Request to ZEAC: Email the following information to info@zeaccorporation.com:
- Identification of the Copyrighted Work: Provide a reference to the work, such as a description, an image, or a link to help ZEAC identify it.
- Identification of Infringing Content: Cite the specific ZEAC website, include a screenshot, and clearly identify the content you believe infringes on your copyright.
- Your Contact Information: Include your name and an email address for correspondence.
- Good Faith Belief Statement: Confirm that you believe in good faith that the work has not been authorized for use by the copyright owner.
- Accuracy Statement: Affirm that the information provided is accurate.
- Authorization Statement: Declare that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on their behalf, including an electronic, scanned, or hard-copy signature with the statement “Signed under penalty of perjury.”
ZEAC will review your request and, if the information is complete, will typically remove the content within five (5) business days.
Step 2: Counter-Notification Process
After removing the content, ZEAC will notify the poster of the removal and the reason. If the poster believes the removal was in error, they can submit a counter-notification to info@zeaccroporation.com with the following information:
- Identification of Removed Content: Specify which content was removed and is the subject of the counter-notification.
- Good Faith Belief Statement: State that you believe in good faith that the content was removed due to a mistake or misidentification.
- Your Contact Information: Include your name and an email address.
- Signature Statement: Provide an electronic, scanned, or hard-copy signature with the statement “Signed under penalty of perjury.”
Upon receipt of a complete counter-notification, ZEAC will provide it to the original requester. If no legal action is filed by the copyright owner within 10 to 14 days, ZEAC will restore the content to its original location.
